Hairbrained Schemes started with a love of typography, a passion for design, a slightly inappropriate sense of humour, and a husband who was strongly encouraging me to get a job after several years as a stay-at-home mom.
The problem? I wasn't particularly interested in a job that required putting on pants.
So I started making greeting cards instead.
What began as a creative side project has turned into a collection of cards that are funny, thoughtful, sarcastic, occasionally inappropriate, and sometimes all of the above.
I make cards for the things you actually want to say. The big celebrations. The little moments. The awkward apologies. The questionable life choices. The people you love enough to tease. Good design, questionable humour and cards you’ll actually want to give someone.
